The role is part of the Global Accounting & Reporting Services Department, focusing on technical accounting, oversight of brands, accounting policy and SEC compliance matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve as a trusted technical accounting advisor on accounting policy matters across various levels within the organization
- This includes reviewing contracts and preparing accounting memos and working with various stakeholders at corporate, brands, and external auditors
- Perform global oversight monitoring over the brands and corporate function, including but not limited to, balance sheets reviews, journal entry reviews, variance analytic reviews, IFRS vs US GAAP adjustment reviews, to assess compliance with global accounting policy and identify any unusual or unexpected items
- This individual will have to effectively communicate with brands regarding improvement recommendations and accounting policy issues that require attention at the appropriate levels (typically VP and director levels)
- Oversee the execution of quarterly procedures and elevate to upper management and cross functional team (as needed) in order to effectively and efficiently issue external reports (10-K, 10-Q, UK Reports, etc)
- This includes overseeing the execution of disclosure controls and procedures, reviewing certifications from corporate/brands, timely addressing external and internal auditor requests, etc.
- Create and maintain internal global accounting policies in order to drive consistency across brands
- This includes collaborating with leaders and stakeholders in cross functional teams and brands
- Monitor and prepare for the adoption of new and emerging accounting standards and regulations
- This includes analysis of new accounting standards and regulations, its impact on the company, and global implementation
- Special projects, as needed, including taking the lead on certain areas of the external auditor transition
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Master's degree a plus
- Certified Public Accountant or working towards license
- At least 5 years of total experience at big 4 firm or similar experience at a large SEC company
- Intermediate knowledge of US GAAP
- Ability to research and interpret technical accounting guidance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization (including C-suite)
- Master's degree in accounting is a plus
- IFRS experience is a plus
- Ability to see the big picture and relative importance of items in different contexts

The range for this role's base salary is $60,600 - $125,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
