Job description: Autism Speaks is seeking an entry level Finance Coordinator to join our dynamic Finance team. This person would be remote in any of the following areas in the United States - Florida, Georgia, North Carolina or South Carolina.
This is an hourly position paying $22.39 per hour.

PURPOSE: This entry level position is responsible for the day-to-day accounts payable process, including serving as the primary contact for all payment issues. The Finance Coordinator will also support the Finance Department with various finance functions on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The position also serves as the primary point of contact for administrative support systems utilized across the entire organization. This role also supports Finance, Operations and Legal Teams on ad hoc projects throughout the year.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for day-to-day activities required for Accounts Payable and weekly AP payment runs.
- Resolve payment discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
- Serve as the primary contact for all payment requests within the organization.
- Support the Finance Team, primarily Senior Accounting Manager, while assisting the Accounts Payable and Administration Manager and Senior Accountants, in booking journal entries as needed for all aspects of financials on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Assist with annual external U.S. financial statement audit; complete requested materials and prepare assigned schedules.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned and contribute to special projects as assigned answer main telephone line and direct callers to the appropriate department.
- Access, review and distribute all mail scanned through CDS.
- Maintain the organizationÂs Contract Database.
- Set up new employees with WB Mason and UPS accounts, as requested; deactivate as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: BachelorÂs degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred
Experience:
- 1 -3 years general accounting experience
- Non-profit experience a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Windows & Office Suite of products. Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience with Concur or any similar accounting system.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, internally demanding environment.
