We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Cybersecurity Financial Planning to have overall responsibility for aiding leaders in making critical business decisions through their financial and analytical expertise. They lead the budgeting process for annual, quarterly, and monthly budget development. Directs and controls the budget and financial forecasting activities for the GISCS organization. Being a Sr. Manager of Cybersecurity Financial Planning incorporates past financial results into budget development. Develops budgetary policies and guidelines to optimize the budget. In addition, they monitor and analyze performance against budgets. Implements tools and reporting used for planning, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising and requiring coordination with other departments. Duties include assisting in the annual financial plan/forecasting, completing the reconciliation of actuals, and the execution of ad-hoc analysis related, as well as relationship management with IT Leaders, IT Financial Liaison, Finance, Sourcing, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and HR. This role assists in operational process improvement working with other departments and brands.
ESSNTIAL FUNCTIONS
Financial Planning
- Assists with the annual financial planning by working with Leaders and their respective Financial Liaisons to develop, analyze and assist with the annual budget
- Communicates financial deadlines and assists users with needed requests to meet deadlines
- Provides analysis for variances of forecasts, publishes updates, and manages issues to closure
- Understands and can communicate the context (benefits, justification, and history of GISCS financials
- Ability to create PowerPoint presentations that are informative and engaging
- Financial Forecasting
- Assists with the financial forecasting process in accordance with the IT and Finance deadlines by providing financial support/coordination, and analytical guidance to cost center owners
- Reconciles actuals and provides expense trending and variance explanation of ongoing cost as well as new initiatives to Finance and Leadership
- Ensures GISCS adheres to all Carnival Financial policies and procedures
- Manages the data gathering process, maintains data, and ensures information is timely, accurate, and reliable
- Supports/administers management tools such as Apptio, Cloudability, Daptiv, etc.
- Assists in troubleshooting issues and manages issues to closure
- Assists with vendor selection, contract renewals and manages requisition to invoice activities
- Review / reconcile receipt of goods and services regarding contracts, P.O.s, and invoices to ensure accurate internal accounting of costs
- Supports the accrual process and ensures accurate reporting
- Supports continuous improvement of operational stakeholders' processes and collaboration points
- Prepares financial analysis and communicates gathered insights in a simple and understandable approach
- Extract and assimilate data, as well as coordinate flow of information to complete projects and ad hoc requests
- Support BI team in implementation and enhancement business reporting (i.e. scorecards, KPIs)
- An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, MIS, IS, CS or related field is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, operational planning or related roles
- Background in the Cruise Industry will be considered a plus
- Financial planning (budgeting and forecasting) experience
- Ability to create PowerPoint presentations that are informative and engaging and deliver them to various audiences
- Experience conducting project meetings and subsequently documenting/distributing meeting minutes and action items, including responsibilities for same, in a timely manner
- Understanding of financial and accounting principles and best practices
- Highly detail oriented with a strong business sense and ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
- Ability to adhere tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and achieve effective results
- Highly proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with an awareness of analytics software (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Strong ability to problem solve under ambiguity, adapt readily and easily to changes
- Adapts easily to changes and has the drive to challenge the limits of their professional skills
- Solid communication, collaboration, and issue resolution skills
- Solid verbal and written communications
- Comfortable working with professionals with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, including remotely
The range for this role's base salary is $125,000 - $150,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
