Position Summary
Position Summary The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a visiting faculty position in Music in General Studies and Music Theory for the 2024-25 academic year, August 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025. This is a full-time, tenure-ineligible position at the rank of Visiting Lecturer.
Responsibilities include teaching and coordinating three undergraduate courses in music theory each semester to non-music major students, music minors, musical theater majors, and music majors. Expertise in teaching keyboard skills, mindfulness in music, as well as creativity studies is an asset for this position. The person in this position will be expected to develop course modules on these and other topics.
Basic Qualifications:Master's or PhD in music theory or an equivalent field, and demonstrated record of teaching excellence at the collegiate level
Salary and Rank: Rank is Visiting Lecturer. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
