Knowledge of market research techniques and an ability to develop, analyze, and evaluate detailed fundraising programs are preferred. A proven track record of securing gifts at the major gift level is essential. Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to make presentations and respond to questions are required. Effective listening skills and the ability to interact/network with alumni, friends of the Institute, major gift prospects, and major donors are essential. The ability to write reports and grant proposals is necessary. Some travel is required. In addition to the required qualifications, preferred candidates will have experience in a higher education environment.
