Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an amazing opportunity for individuals excited and committed to alumni experiences and being a key member of our success by joining our Alumni Relations team as our Assistant Director of Alumni Experience.
As the Assistant Director of Alumni Experience, you will lead the coordination and execution of major on-campus, alumni events including Homecoming festivities, the Alumni Awards process, and Alumni Awards celebration. Alumni engagement experiences may include the Young Alumni Mentor Program, the regional Alumni networks, and alumni visits to campus. Through the development and management of alumni engagement experiences across multiple platforms, both in-person and virtually, you will be an integral part of ensuring new and continued alumni connection and engagement with the Institute. As a member of the Alumni Relations team, you will also develop programs and events in key market cities around the United States and engage with alumni via events around the country as well as assist in management of the Alumni Advisory Board meetings and coordination of alumni events in the host city.
Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor's degree and two to three years of experience in alumni relations, development, higher education administration, or special event planning. Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and project/process management skills are necessary. Excellent computer skills including knowledge of database management are essential. The ability to work with minimal supervision is necessary. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of alumni, faculty, staff, and current students are essential. Must be able to tend to the needs of the alumni enthusiastically, professionally, diplomatically, and promptly. The ability to work evening and weekend hours with year-round travel is required. In addition to the required qualifications, preferred candidates will have a master's degree and five years of experience in alumni relations, development, higher education administration and or involvement in special event planning and coordination preferred. Experience working with volunteers is strongly desired. Knowledge of Rose-Hulman, its history and traditions preferred.
