Job description: The Little Gym of San Jose is a non-competitive children's development center that uses gymnastics as the core to grow & develop children ages 4 months to 12 years. We are the springboard to each child's life adventures. We use 3 dimensions of learning at The Little gym: Physical, Social, and Cognitive. Come and make a difference in the life of a child.

Step 2: Job Summary



The Little Gym of San Jose is seeking a Gymnastics Coach to teach and manage our preschool and grade school programs. Turn your positive energy into a rewarding job that's challenging every day.



Our organization owns and operates the two The Little Gyms in San Jose. TLG Stevens Creek and TLG San Jose. You will be part of a small family-owned business.



General responsibilities include:



Teaching classes

Working as a team to keep our facility as clean & safe as possible

Providing outstanding member service and making long-lasting member relationships

Selling the program to new and existing customers

Expect to spend a lot of time learning to teach exceptional classes. Working in a small business will also give you an opportunity to develop entrepreneurial and creative skills to grow the business and the team If you want to join a high performing team of professionals that are running a successful, award winning gym, we want to hear from you

Step 3: Ideal Candidate:



You can impact hundreds of local families and children each week The Little Gym team members must demonstrate passion for children, physical fitness, health & wellness, and building relationships with customers. Selling the program is a crucial part of this job as well. Candidates with strong communication skills who can convey benefits and find out customers' motivations for their inquiry are invaluable to the success of the gym. Working with groups of children of all ages required.



Qualifications and Skills



Friendly, positive, can do attitude

Experience coaching sports, dance, gymnastics, or swimming to groups of children ages 3-12



Sincere love of children



Self starter

Experience working with children (examples include preschool teacher or assistant, daycare, sports camps or similar experience)

Background in fitness (athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, or related field)

High energy and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Strong work ethic

Eager to learn and grow
