This writing-intensive course covers the fundamental requirements of effective communication skills such as report writing, interpersonal communication and interviewing and questioning.
Other Courses May Include: Introduction to Law Enforcement, Policing, Criminal Procedure in Law Enforcement, Ethics in Leadership, and Law Enforcement Capstone
What You Will Do:
- Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
- Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
- Respond to students? questions and emails within the established timeframes
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University?s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
*Professional or Teaching experience is required.
- PhD in Justice Studies OR
- Criminal Justice
- Linguistics
- AND 3-years experience as a peace officer
- Master?s in Justice Studies OR
- Criminal Justice
- AND coursework in Communications
- Exceptions may be granted to individuals with Master?s in any field with 18 graduate credits in Justice Studies or Criminal Justice AND has 3-years experience as a peace officer
- Your unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
- Your unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees
