This position has a home-based office from an approved location in the Midwest.
Your Background
 BachelorÂs degree in accounting or five or more years of experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, budgeting, and cash flow.
 Firm understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
 Strong MS Office skills
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 Strong ability to identify process improvements
Day-to-Day
 3+ years' of professional accounting experience
 Prepare accurate and timely financial statements within Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
 Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
 Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor performance against budget and provide explanations for variances.
 Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Assist in audits, both internal and external, and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
 Assist with diverse spending initiatives and prepare diverse spending calculations.
 Complete business and tax registrations
 WBE applications and renewals
 Assist with business insurance renewals.
 Manage the 1099 process.
 Complete WorkerÂs Compensation audits
 Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and systems, making recommendations for efficiency and effectiveness.
 Provide support and backup for the Accounting Associate.
