Job Summary: The Property Claims Quality Evaluator function is responsible for actively measuring overall claim handling focusing on our ability to execute consistently and achieve quality and operational excellence. The Property Quality Assurance team will serve as the backbone of the Claims measurement system - accountable for measuring effectiveness and consistency, identifying strengths and opportunities for continuous improvement, conducting strategic analysis, and informing the development of processes. This may include collaboration with Claims Line Management and Field Leadership. By facilitating the development of appropriate quality assurance practices, it will support Allstate in achieving key business outcomes that remain in compliance with laws and regulations. This job is responsible for evaluating the quality and accuracy of highly complex property estimates and file reviews on work completed by property adjusters. The individual reviews, inspects and makes corrective recommendations on adjuster handling of damages and vendor-involved claims. The individual partners with management in ensuring consistency and objectivity in property estimating practices and assists in maintaining estimating standards and file handling standards. The individual partners with field staff to coach staff in property damage estimating, customer service, and policy issues. This job is responsible for ensuring claims are being handled consistently according to established quality standards, department procedures, policy intent and Department of Insurance Regulation. The individual works independently, prioritizes the individual's own responsibilities, and manages the individual's own workload. The individual consistently meets band level behaviors, production, quality and/or customer service goals. This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service  Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met  Ensures communication with customers is timely and responsive File Review/Quality Assurance  Performs oversight to ensure adherence to current estimating and file handling standards  Performs claim reviews including targeted and transactional reviews  QE of Contents Reinspection  Completes desk reviews on estimates, compares to current estimating standards and provides feedback based on review  May coach adjusters on review results  Collaborates regarding file review results  Participates and may lead in calibration activities with the Claims organization Coaching  Provides coaching and feedback regarding estimating, file and claim handling quality to adjusters and vendors Other Projects and Responsibilities  May participate in one or more complex or occasionally highly complex special assignments  May serve as a committee team lead for large projects or as a committee team member on very large projects  Fills in for the Quality Assurance Leadership as needed  Leads training sessions for the team Education and Experience:  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent  5 or more years of inside or field property claims experience and/or Large Loss Contents handling experience Functional Skills:  Ability to interact effectively, and coach others on interacting effectively, with internal or external customers and act with empathy  Applies advanced knowledge of insurance policy, coverage and regulation  Applies advanced knowledge of claims processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, coverage liability, damage estimating, and/or settlement and adherence to applicable legal compliance standards  Applies advanced industry knowledge to discipline practices, including best practices, to support the business unit  Applies advanced ability to leverage learned technical skills in support of team objectives  Applies advanced negotiation and/or arbitration skills  Applies advanced conflict management and problem resolution skills in managing internal and external customer relationships  Applies advanced problem solving skills to continuously improve business outcomes  Ability to assist leadership in achieving business unit objectives  Applies advanced knowledge of training facilitation and coaching skills  Ability to investigate, evaluate and settle highly complex claims  Works with complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth in area of expertise  Has and maintains all appropriate licenses and registrations for the role per state requirements Notes: The preceding description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities. Compensation offered for this role is $61,500.00-$91,000.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
