What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Answer all inbound calls and route appropriately utilizing scripting and warm transfers
• Provide support to team members as needed
• Accurately and efficiently enter or update all demographics and incoming referrals to sub-specialty departments
• Reach out to PCP's via phone and/or fax to answer routine to complex questions regarding referrals
• Coordinate multiple appointment requests with sub-specialty department representatives
What Is Required (Qualifications)
• High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a receptionist in a Physician Office or equivalent
• Typing speed of 50 wpm or greater with minimal errors
• Exceptional attention to detail and HIPAA compliance
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
• 0-2 years of experience as a referral specialist or similar role in a healthcare setting
