We seek a Data Analyst who will support the business by delivering analytics solutions and generating operational insights from various data sources. You will be responsible for understanding the companyÂs business and data, enabling you to answer questions quickly and reliably. You will also investigate patients' and HCPs behavior on the VMS platform and find insights that... help improve our operations, innovate on our product offerings, and communicate the value story to our life sciences clients. Success in the role means conducting effective and efficient analysis, synthesis, and presentation of informed and relevant analyses to both internal VMS team and our clients.
This individual will work collaboratively with internal teams, including but not limited to the Client Solutions, Data & Analytics, and Engineering teams. This position will require critical thinking, technical data skills, and expertise in healthcare (preferably pharma commercial patient analytics). Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to gather the needs of internal and external stakeholders, identify and adopt best practices for data collection, and develop and present explicit stories and visualizations to communicate complex ideas.
Essential Functions
 Become an expert in VMS data and patient support programs to support various business activities through data analysis and reporting
 Split time between two primary areas of focus, client program analytics and internal operational analysis, leveraging analytical techniques to deliver actionable insights and guide decision-making by:
 Meeting with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements
 Designing and managing measurement and reporting plans
 Aggregating and analyzing data from various sources to generate insights
 Developing compelling dashboards and presentations to present findings and recommendations
 Lead the creation and analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews in partnership with field and telephonic leaders and Client Solutions teams
 Execute on ad-hoc report requests from field and telephonic leaders, Client Solutions team, Executive Leadership, and other cross-functional teams
 Conduct reviews and quality controls on reporting created by colleagues
 Develop and present measurement plans in partnership with the Client Solutions team that includes identification of survey tools, and other data capture mechanisms to ensure we have the right data to show how we are achieving Pharma client goals and VMS impact once the program is launched
 Develop and present both standardized reporting dashboards and custom presentations to reinforce to Pharma clients the value of our programs and to show internal teams how they can achieve their business objectives
 Design and manage internal and 3rd party studies to measure VMS impact on medication abandonment and persistency
 Design and execute studies to understand what works and what doesnÂt for patient and HCP engagement, to inform improvements to our approach and thought leadership to the broader industry
 Develop relationships with business stakeholders and serve as a point of contact for both internal and external client-facing data and analytics questions
 Approach all projects with an eye toward scalability for growth through standardization and automation
 Work on strategic projects including thought leadership and sales support materials, ad-hoc reporting requests, and strategic analysis requests leveraging a combination of 3rd party data, internal data, and secondary research
 Play an active role in building new data analysis tools such as AI and Natural Language Processing
Required Education And/or Experience
 Bachelor's degree in Finance, Informatics, Management Information Systems, or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, etc.)
 4-5 years of professional experience in a BI/data analyst role
Required Skills
 Expertise in healthcare (preferably pharma commercial / patient analytics)
 Advanced proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI
 Advanced business acumen with command over analytics, specifically leveraging data to drive operational improvements, including drawing accurate conclusions from raw data and providing suggestions to address gaps, including simulation & statistical modeling
 Knowledge of statistical concepts, especially exploratory data analysis techniques
 Advanced-level user of Microsoft tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence strategy through analytics and storytelling
 A propensity for working in a fast-paced environment where change is welcomed, and growth is embraced
 Team player interested in working in collaborative, familial teams
 Solid planning, priority setting, and project management skills to manage multiple projects concurrently
 Navigate ambiguity and possess intellectual curiosity to dig into data to get to the bottom of a problem
 Eligible to participate in federal healthcare programs or in federal procurement or non-procurement programs
