Student Support Team. This position reports to the Director of Student Support.
• Organize Student Lab
• Work with mentors to identify students who would benefit from additional
support
• Contact parents and students who have been selected to attend the Student
Support Lab.
• Monitor student attendance and involvement
• Assist the student support staff as needed
• Assign and supervise staff responsible for overseeing student support in lab
• Assist mentors to facilitate Tier 2 Response To Intervention
• Implement appropriate evidence-based interventions with identified students
• Communicate with parents regarding student needs and progress
• Share student progress or lack thereof with mentors
• Monitor and record student progress and track data
• Provide data and student insight to support a Special Education referral when
needed
• Attend scheduled training for intervention programs and achieve knowledge of
such programs sufficient to implement them with fidelity
• Provide Academic Coaching and Instructing to Students as Needed
• Work with students to complete assignments as needed
• Help students to understand and implement appropriate time management and
study skills
• Conduct lab sessions that allow students to complete and understand classwork
• Attend Special Education L10 Meeting
• Report student attendance and data numbers on weekly Scorecard
• Develop quarterly goals or “Rocks” for professional development
• Reply to all emails within 24 hours and complete all Asana tasks
• Coordinate and Report Results to Stakeholders
• Document and communicate weekly with students, parents, mentors, and
supervisors how students are responding to intervention
• Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• Two years of experience tutoring, teaching, working as a teacher’s assistant, or
• similar experience OR an Associates degree and one year of experience tutoring,
• teaching, working as a teacher’s assistant, or similar experience
• Proven work experience with educational staff, students, and their families
• Proven integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
Preferred Qualifications
• Advocacy skills and the ability to work with other staff members to achieve overall vision for school
• Ability to respond effectively to the needs of diverse students and families
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent computer skills with the ability to adapt and learn various state systems, programs and processes
