This is a 3rd shift position with all regular shifts scheduled to start no later than 12 a.m. Eastern (ET).

Our work depends on a Systems Engineer Advisor joining our program's Application Support team to monitor and maintain system performance of enterprise applications distributed across multiple technical platforms in both Production and Non-Production Environments, assist with investigative efforts and provide remediation support to complex technical issues, and provide O&M support to the customer and their Stakeholder communities in achieving their critical mission.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
 Works with stakeholder user communities and technical professionals from different disciplines to resolve complex technical issues
 Stages & deploys new code to update applications while maintaining baseline standards across multiple operating platforms in Production and Non-Production Environments
 Escalates, monitors, and reports incidents in a timely fashion to ensure stakeholder Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met
 Develops and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of highly complex system requirements and system diagnostics of TIBCO BW, WebLogic, Oracle Database, and EMS services
 Reviews literature and current practices to support business requirements
 Provides technical consultation on current and proposed systems
 Works with program's Security team on an on-going basis to ensure compliance with DHS and NIST standards.
WHAT YOUÂLL NEED TO SUCCEED:
 Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, preferably in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study
 Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
 Required Technical Skills: experience in UNIX shell scripting; working knowledge with Git/GitHub
 Security Clearance Level: Public Trust (DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability)
 Required Skills and Abilities: excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills; excellent communication skills; must be able to function as part of a troubleshooting team comprising service delivery agents, developers, other technical support engineers, and Government staff/officials to identify root causes of issues so that journaling of incidents can be captured for reports and other technical bulletins for future reference
 Preferred Skills: experience developing SQL and/or Jython scripts; experience in Oracle WebLogic Server and Fusion Middleware administration, managing multiple application domains and configuring multiple authenticators; experience in TIBCO Business Works (BW) and Enterprise Message Service (EMS) administration, managing multiple domains and configuring BW trace parameters for debugging; configuration management experience using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet; experience with F5 BigIP Local Traffic Manager, setting up and configuring VIPs and server pools and developing and configuring iRules; working knowledge with PKI and renewing and implementing security certificates; experience with Postfix and email server administration; certifications: ITIL Foundation v4; Amazon Web Services (AWS); Oracle WebLogic Server
