The Regional Centralized Client Group sits within Global Merchant and Network Services, which acquires and manages relationships with millions of merchants around the world that accept American Express. The Regional Centralized Client Group is responsible for overseeing some of the largest and most strategic U.S. Â based B2C and B2B merchants. Our goal is to be an indispensable payments partner to our merchants and to help them grow by delivering differentiated products and services.
The role of the Senior Manager, Client Management offers the opportunity to leverage strong relationship management, consultative selling, strategic thinking, and innovation skills to drive incremental American Express spend with merchants, while working in a challenging and collaborative environment. This is a unique and high-profile opportunity for an experienced relationship manager to develop a portfolio of some of our largest and most strategic merchants in UT, ID, MT and WY.
This position is for a professionally mature business leader who can influence and drive profitable outcomes, as well as take ownership of high profile and complex initiatives with multiple senior-level touch points internally and externally. A robust client management / sales background, ability to think innovatively and strategically, strong financial and analytical skills, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced, highly complex and matrixed environment is required.
Minimum Qualifications
 Location: Virtual based in Salt Lake City metro, UT required
 Energetic, hardworking, teammate with a strong will to win
 Experienced relationship manager with proven record to develop strong client relationships, generate new opportunities, sell-in B2C and B2B programs and initiatives, and advance partnership constructs to grow revenue and share
 Strong executive presence internally and externally, with the ability to lead and influence senior-level discussions with clients
 Outstanding analytical and creative problem-solving skills
 Ability to work collaboratively across a wide variety of external and internal partner teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Pricing, Risk, Operations and Legal
 Strong negotiations experience and project management skills, with an excellent ability to prioritize effectively, close deals and get results
 Financial competence, including familiarity with financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement), as well as understanding the financials of card acceptance, industry economics and profitability levers
 Outstanding presentation skills, both oral and written
 Highly customer-focused and results-driven, with the ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously both autonomously and as part of a team
 Prior knowledge and/or experience in B2C, B2Band Payments industries a plus
 BachelorÂs degree preferred
 Role requires ~25% travel

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
