This job contributes to Starbucks success by providing planning, project management and financial oversight in new store and renovation construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of excellence in delivering the Starbucks experience to our Operation partners. Manages the construction process so that projects are completed on time and under budget.
As a construction project manager, you willÂ
 Work independently and collaboratively in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
 Support Store Development and Operations goals by participating and contributing in planning and strategy meetings for the market.
 Develop and manage budgets consistent with timeline requirements for small to medium-scale new store development or renovation projects.
 Manage and monitor project schedules within budget guidelines, progress and costs to ensure projects are completed on time and effectively.
 Manage the construction phase of the development process.

 Project management experience managing multiple projects.
 Progressive experience managing a construction team in a multi-unit retail, mixed-use, ground lease, land development or restaurant environment.
Basic Qualifications
 High School diploma or GED or 4 + years of US military experience
 Preferred: Bachelor's degree in facility or construction management, architecture, or business related field
 7+ years of progressive experience in a role performing project management job functions for construction projects including permitting and approvals
 5 + years of experience in a role delivering 15 or more concurrent projects in a retail or restaurant environment (QSR)
 7+ years of experience in a role bidding and negotiating for construction projects
 5+ years of experience in a role performing financial analysis, budgeting and planning for construction projects
 5 + years of experience using MS Outlook, MS Excel, and project or construction management program(s), such as MS Project, Primavera or Timberline systems

Construction Knowledge
 Strong knowledge of construction terms and concepts
 Full understanding of industry and construction best practices and standards
 Able to lead all construction activities in areas of responsibility

 Lead annual planning and store tours

 If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
