This position represents both government and commercial products to build and improve physician and practice manager satisfaction for UHG. This externally focused position is assigned to a market of providers and will maximize the providers' ability to interact with UHG.
If you are located in Louisiana, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities
 Acts as a UHG "navigational" specialist who is externally focused on assigned providers maximizing the providers' ability to interact with UHG
 Provider Education:
 Conducts new provider education including robust training programs such as Quarterly webinars/Lunch and Learn/telephonic or in person seminars
 Educates providers on common billing practice errors
 Educates/answers questions related to total affordability initiatives
 Educates providers on reimbursement policies
 Educates and drives adoption of self service tools
 Service Model Support:
 Educate providers on service model/drive adoption/Conduit to assist when service fails
 Drives providers to the standard process but supplements and supports as necessary
 Partners internally with information exchange when UHG has failed on service
 Active participant on JOC and HP3 programs
 Conduit for provider issues that cross multiple platforms and/or result from integrations

Required Qualifications
 3+ years of provider relations experience
 3+ years of experience with Medicaid regulations
 3+ years of experience with managed care
 Experience and comfortable with putting together and facilitating meetings
 Knowledge of billing and claims processing
 Basic knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding
 Solid PC skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
 Willing and able to travel up to 25% (site visits and/or industry meetings in LA)
Preferred Qualifications
 Fundaments of NDB, ISET, COSMOS, Facets, Spire
 Proven highly developed presentation skills
 Proven solid relationship building skills and highly developed customer focus skills
 Proven solid self-management skills, ability to handle rapid change and an affinity for continuous learning
