National Account Manager (Foodservice, Non-Commercial)

The National Account Manager is responsible for achieving annual volume sales and dollar profit targets with major national non-commercial accounts. Developing customer growth strategies and plans that align to both High Liners strategic goals and customer goals. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Selling:
 Develop customer new and existing growth strategies and plans that align to both High LinerÂs strategic goals and customerÂs goals
 Identify new strategic opportunities
 Execute insight based and solution selling to drive long term growth
 Effectively execute plans, monitor progress & course correct as needed
 Be growth oriented at all times with both new and existing customers
Customer Relationships
 Build and strengthen relationships with key customers to foster trust
 Successfully develop, maintain, and oversee customer relations interacting with customers, reviewing, and discussing the business relationships and proactively managing key issues/problems
 Discover and develop new relationships and opportunities with current and new customers
Financial Accountability
 Achieve sales volume and contribution goals
 Understand cost drivers and impact  short and long term
 Mitigate risk (packaging/ingredients/inventory) effectively and efficiently
 Improve sales forecast accuracy
 Manage SG&A
Cross Functional Management
 Work closely with cross-functional, both internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met
 Be knowledgeable of the internal processes needed to bring products through commercialization
 Work with Legal on customer contract management
Qualifications
 University degree in Business, Commerce or Foodservice related field.
 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in consumer-packaged goods organizations.
 Experience calling on ÂThe Big ThreeÂ; Compass, Aramark, and Sodexo
 Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
 Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
 Experience working with complex cross functional projects
 Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
 Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
 Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external customers including key business partners and store management.
 Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
 Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
 Hands on mentality, proven ability to work independently, self-motivated.
 Strong selling, presentation, strategic thinking, negotiating, organizational, financial analysis and broker management skills
 Solid computer skills with focus on Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.
 Willingness to travel as needed to drive business results - Overnight Travel Required
