This role will be part of the Global Services Group (GSG) Finance organization, which partners closely with the GSG business in achieving strategic objectives. GSG delivers extraordinary customer care to Card Members and merchants around the world, while providing world-class credit, collections and fraud services, and driving revenue growth for the company. It also houses the shared services organization that brings together key functions to support American Express internally.
The successful candidate will be part of a team supporting the GSG business in decision making around Card Member servicing for Global Card Issuance (GCI). Primary responsibilities of this role will include data analytics connecting financial and operational metrics that will help shape business strategy, along with results and planning support. The candidate will be required to form strong relationships with GSG business partners and will have significant interaction across the Finance community.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 Provide value-added decision support to GCI business partners with a proactive approach to assessing financial and operational trends to identify potential funding risks/opportunities
 Partnering with Marketing, Product Development, and Operations in support of volume forecasting and tracking for Card Issuance initiatives and product refreshes
 Identify and analyze linkages between business and financial data, including developing and testing hypotheses as well as driving ad hoc analytics in Cornerstone
 Assist in providing senior management in Finance and the GSG business with relevant and timely results, outlook, and trend analysis
 Play a key role in month end close, regular financial reviews, business unit reviews, and planning activities to enable GSG to deliver against aggressive targets
 Prepare and present insightful analysis and key recommendations to Finance and GSG Leadership to drive decision making
 Collaborate with other finance teams including Business Planning, GSG HQ Finance, BU FP&A, and Corporate Planning to ensure holistic success of the overall finance organization
 Lead and manage the SFA supporting Global Card Issuance
Minimum Qualifications:  3-5 years of relevant experience  Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills  Proven ability to structure analyses using large amounts of data  Ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages for an executive audience  Ability to make connections between business decisions and P&L impacts  Comfort and composure in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment  Proven ability to build relationships and influence others, both in and out of Finance  Ability to operate and interact independently with business partners  Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written  Advanced Excel, PowerPoint a must.  BachelorÂs degree in Finance or similar
Preferred Qualifications:  MBA preferred  TM1, Essbase, SQL, Cornerstone, Power BI experience strongly preferred
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
