Key Responsibilities
 Data Management: Accurately enter alphabetic and numeric data into databases or software programs using a keyboard or optical scanner. This may include uploading data from external sources and transcribing audio or video content.
 Document Handling: Review and interpret source documents, such as canceled checks, sales reports, or bills, and input the necessary information into designated data fields.
 Data Verification: Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of demographic, financial, and customer data before entry. Identify discrepancies and correct data entry errors by cross-referencing source documents.
 Error Reporting: Detect and report any data discrepancies to supervisors and suggest corrective measures as needed.
 Record Keeping: Maintain accurate operational records, logs of activities, and completed work.
 Confidentiality: Uphold data integrity and confidentiality by adhering to organizational procedures and standards.
 Prioritization: Establish data entry priorities by following organizational guidelines or collaborating with team leadership.
 Data Validation: Verify and update customer and account information by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data. Purge files to eliminate duplicate entries.
 Data Security: Secure data by performing regular database backups and following data protection protocols.
 Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data collection processes, including designing new forms or templates for more efficient data entry.
 Team Collaboration: Operate office equipment as needed and support the team by contributing to various tasks related to data management.
Qualifications
 Prior experience in data entry, clerical work, or an office setting is required.
 Basic computer skills are essential.
 Experience with data-entry software or cloud storage systems is a plus.
