We are currently seeking a Regional Truck Driver for our UPS team. This full-time position is based in our regional hub and involves driving to various locations within the region. The ideal candidate will possess a CDL with a clean driving record and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the industry.
Job Description
As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. This will involve planning routes, inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, and complying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
– Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
– Load and unload cargo
– Properly track and document activity log
– Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
– Inspect the truck before and after the trip
Requirements
– Proven work experience as a truck driver
– Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc)
– Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
– Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
– No recent moving or driving violations
– Valid truck driving license
Educational Qualifications
– High school diploma
– Valid CDL
Experience
– Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver
