What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Monitor patient vitals such as blood pressure and blood sugar, assist with medication management, and doctor visits
• Communicate regularly with patients to facilitate lifestyle changes for improved long-term health
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) for patients
• Perform other duties as assigned by providers

What Is Required (Qualifications)
• Passion for working with older patients and strong customer service skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or nurse
• Background in preventative patient care, preferably in primary care, cardiology, or diabetes clinic
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Proficiency in computer skills, including having your own computer and reliable internet service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with administrative and clerical skills
• Understanding of medical terminology and critical thinking abilities
• Certification and licensure as a Medical Assistant, EMT, NREMT, Paramedic, or LPN
• High School diploma or equivalent education required, Technical Medical Assistant certification preferred

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
• Experience working with chronic condition patients in a healthcare-related setting
• Additional certifications or training in medical assistance
