Florida Coastal University is seeking a part-time Adjunct Educational Leadership Instructor to provide high-quality instruction in educational leadership. This role includes teaching assigned courses, developing instructional materials, and ensuring alignment with accreditation standards. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in educational leadership, a proven record of effective teaching, and a commitment to fostering student success.
Job Responsibilities:
Course Delivery:
 Teach assigned courses according to the academic schedule and course syllabus, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
 Select and use appropriate textbooks and educational resources that align with course objectives and accreditation requirements.
 Develop course materials and lesson plans that reflect academic rigor and the competencies required for program accreditation.
Student Communication and Support:
 Provide students with a detailed syllabus outlining course objectives, learning outcomes, teaching methods, attendance policies, required texts, assignments, timetables, evaluation criteria, and accreditation-related competencies.
 Utilize the institutionÂs learning management system (LMS) for distributing the syllabus, assigning tasks, sharing materials, and communicating with students.
 Employ a variety of teaching methods to deliver course content, focusing on practical applications and meeting accreditation standards.
 Offer student support through office hours, scheduled meetings, and digital communication channels.
Assessment and Feedback:
 Evaluate student performance in relation to course objectives, learning outcomes, and accreditation benchmarks, providing timely and constructive feedback.
 Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, assessments, and grades, ensuring alignment with accreditation data reporting requirements.
Course Improvement and Accreditation:
 Encourage student participation in course evaluations and use feedback to enhance teaching effectiveness and meet accreditation improvement plans.
 Regularly update and refine course content to maintain academic excellence and comply with accreditation guidelines.
 Participate in orientation sessions to fully understand the universityÂs mission, teaching philosophy, policies, and LMS, with a focus on accreditation standards.
Collaboration and Reporting:
 Attend meetings with the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to discuss course dynamics, student progress, curriculum updates, and contribute to program improvement with an emphasis on accreditation.
 Assist in accreditation self-study, report preparation, and readiness for accreditation visits.
 Contribute to the development and maintenance of the programÂs assessment plan to meet accreditation standards.
 Submit an annual performance review, including contributions to accreditation efforts as directed by the CAO.
Job Requirements: Â Education and Experience:MasterÂs degree in Educational Leadership or a closely related field; Ph.D. preferred. Â Subject Matter Expertise: Deep knowledge and understanding of educational leadership principles and practices. Â Teaching Skills: Proven ability to deliver course content using diverse teaching methodologies and a commitment to innovative teaching strategies. Â Learning Management Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in using LMS for course delivery, communication, and management. Â Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Â Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff. Â Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills to structure course content and instructional materials effectively. Â Assessment Skills: Experience in assessing student performance in accordance with learning objectives and outcomes. Â Commitment to Professional Development: Willingness to continually update and improve teaching skills and subject matter expertise. Â Availability: Ability to maintain consistent availability for student consultation through office hours, appointments, phone, or email. Â Record Keeping: Excellent record-keeping skills for tracking student enrollment, attendance, assessments, and grades. Â Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Familiarity with academic policies and procedures and commitment to upholding them. Â Constructive Feedback: Ability to provide constructive and timely feedback to students about their progress. Â Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules or course requirements.
Note: Employment offers are contingent on legal authorization to work in the country and satisfactory completion of a background check, among other criteria.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $46.00 per hour
