Job Description:
Mission Respite has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant (remote) to support our human resources department in various recruitment, hiring, and payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of HR functions, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interview Coordination and Support:
 Conduct interviews with potential Respite Companions.
 Maintain interview records and feedback.
 Provide timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
2. Hiring and Onboarding:
 Run background checks on potential Respite Companions.
 Support the hiring process by collecting and reviewing application materials.
 Prepare offer letters and new hire documentation.
 Facilitate new employee onboarding, including orientation and paperwork.
3. Payroll Administration:
 Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees.
 Ensure accurate and timely collection of employee timesheets.
 Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, taxes, and deductions.
4. HR Administrative Support:
 Maintain employee records, ensuring all files are updated and compliant with legal requirements.
 Provide administrative support including compliance reporting.
 Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and company-wide events.
Qualifications: Â 1-2 years of experience in recruiting or HR Â Familiarity with HR functions, including interviewing and hiring.. Â Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Â Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Â Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Â High level of professionalism and integrity. Â Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently. Â Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Â Positive and approachable demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
