Inside Dealer Success Consultant - CAI
Posted 2025-04-06The Inside Dealer Success Consultant will retain and grow their client base by providing customers with creative revenue-generating marketing and advertising solutions using Cox Automotive products, services, and technologies, know and keep current on all the companyÂs products and services, and educate dealers on new products as they roll out, create and deliver presentations to existing and new... customers, and own the customer experience. Think and act in ways that put our customers first and exceed their expectations.
The Inside Dealer Success Consultant will be responsible for retaining, advocating for, and growing a portfolio of independent automotive dealers within an assigned district. IDSC will work closely with assigned dealers to ensure that CAMSG solutions are meeting and exceeding dealer expectations by providing consultative sales assessments of their internet advertising needs.
What You'll Do:
 Conduct periodic business reviews with active dealers within their book of business
 Prospect new business within their assigned independent dealer prospects
 Analyze ROI goals and data for assigned book of business, and have a firm understanding and knowledge of media buying cycles, marketing, and target demographics
 Proactively monitor and analyze account performance and trends to determine adjustments to dealer expectations, goals, and objectives
 Plan, propose, and carry out a strategy to generate additional business and fulfill service action plans
 Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within a portfolio in order to maximize revenue and minimize cancellations
 Reinforce value proposition with content
 Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to provide dealer insights Advocate for assigned dealers during the implementation and onboarding of solutions
 Respond and route customer issues to the appropriate resources
 Proactively communicate account and sales information to management, the Business Development team, and the Dealer Success team - including identification of obstacles and challenges that need to be removed
 Utilize Salesforce to accurately and effectively track activity, as well as update opportunity and account information Ensure billed revenue is collected within the designated time frame

Who you are: Minimum Qualifications: Â BachelorÂs degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a masterÂs degree and 2 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 8 years of experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:  3 or more years of automotive dealership experience  3 or more years of call center or equivalent experience and knowledge  3 or more years of sales (inside or outside) experience and related applications and tools  Proven experience developing strategy, setting priorities, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining focused on many details.  Knowledge and experience with business software applications including MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and virtual demonstration software and communication tools.  Experience in a customer-focused, account management, revenue-driven environment.  Proven experience and ability to build and maintain cross-departmental, multi-functional and collaborative relationships.  Demonstrated advanced communication skills (written, verbal, phone, and interpersonal) skills.  Proven experience and ability to analyze customer problems and trends to offer suggestions and recommendations for improvement and success.  Media advertising experience.  Experience in an account management or service role.
