The Social Media Virtual Assistant will contribute to the success of our Tourism Social Media Manager by managing and scheduling social media posts among other helpful tasks.
Key Responsibilities: Â Schedule social media posts across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn) using provided content. Â Ensure all posts are accurately scheduled and posted at optimal times. Â Monitor engagement on posts and notify the team of any significant interactions or inquiries. Â Assist in basic reporting on social media performance metrics. Â Collaborate with the team to ensure content aligns with our brand and marketing strategy. Â Stay updated with the latest social media best practices and tools. Â Draft copy for posts as needed.
Qualifications:  Previous experience in social media management or a similar role.  Knowledge and familiarity of Upstate New York including: Albany, Saratoga, Glens Falls, Lake George and/or the Adirondacks.  Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.  Creative mindset with the ability to contribute new ideas.
Preferred Skills:
 Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) for minor content adjustments.
 Experience with analytics tools to track social media performance
