PeopleOps Onboarding Specialist (Part-Time)

Reporting to the VP of PeopleOps, this individual will oversee the entire process, from pre-boarding tasks to ensuring that new team members are fully integrated into the company. Working closely with PeopleOps and department heads, the Onboarding Specialist will be the... primary point of contact for all onboarding-related matters, fostering a welcoming environment for new employees.
What youÂll do
 Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for new employees
 Coordinate with hiring managers and department heads to prepare onboarding schedules
 Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during their onboarding journey, addressing questions and providing support
 Conduct pre-employment reference checks
 Manage the collection and filing of required documents, including tax forms, non-disclosure agreements, E-verify, and other employment documents
 Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws
 Create and maintain orientation materials, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant
 Ensure proper setup of company systems and access based on roles and responsibilities
 Provide support with the workforce management software (Rippling)
 Maintain contractor information and be a liaison with employment/vendor agencies
 Continuously refine and improve the onboarding process to enhance the employee experience
 Assist with special PeopleOps projects and initiatives related to onboarding and employee engagement
 Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HR systems
What youÂll bring
 3+ years of experience in an HR, onboarding, or employee experience role
 Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
 High attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and workflows
 Familiarity with HR systems and tools (e.g., HRIS, applicant tracking systems, onboarding platforms)
 A proactive and problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
