Role Summary: The Director, Global Retail will develop external relationships primarily with multinational retailers and grocery retail alliances. You will drive growth via consistent retailer client value delivery leading to client retention and expansion. You will use Advantage GroupÂs proven capabilities to help current and prospective clients understand their business improvement opportunities and guidance to act on them, creating a virtuous circle. Internally you will support our in-market teams by coordinating on key retailer initiatives, offering advice, and sharing learnings and recommended practices.
Who WeÂre Seeking: The successful candidate is likely to have 5 Â 10 years of commercial Retail industry experience, combined with executive level client-facing experience in data-led professional services (market research, data-led advisory, etc.).
Reporting Relationship: This role reports to the SVP, Global Retail.
What Success Looks Like in this Role: Specific responsibilities include:
 Building strong client relationships with assigned multinational retailers and grocery retail alliances ensuring that they are actively engaged, receive an excellent client experience, gain value and insights from Advantage, and put our insights and recommendations into action leading to retention and expansion across new countries, new programs, and broadly across their ecosystem.
 Helping current and prospective retail clients participate in our Industry Engagement programs, Advantage Report available in close to 50 countries, and the Global Relations program available to organizations working with business partners across countries.
 Identifying unique needs, then working closely with our custom team to develop and contract bespoke business partner feedback programs
 Networking to increase awareness of Advantage Group and our capabilities
 Communicating closely with our in-market teams to support them as they accomplish the same locally. Your primary initial focus will be the Europe/South Africa Region
 Assisting with expansion of Own Brands/Private Label program to additional countries
 Coordinating with our global insights team to create compelling stories that are insightful and can be shared with retailers
 Achieving coverage and sales goals by maximizing client retention, expansion, and acquisition
 Enhancing the Advantage brand within the CPG / Retail community through keynote presentations, conference/association participation, white papers, published articles, and other efforts
 Contributing to innovations and piloting new approaches as we further develop our end-to-end Client Engagement experience

Location: This role is home-office based. Preferred location is in the UK or Western Europe.
Travel: Expectations include occasional travel to:
 Client offices for meetings and presentations, as needed (most are via videoconference)
 Regional or Toronto office conferences (occasional)
 Relevant conferences or industry events
