A company seeks a Chief of Staff who will be a strategic partner to the Managing Partners, ensuring that the business operates effectively and efficiently. This role will drive the firm’s strategic initiatives and manage day-to-day operations, overseeing billing, staffing, IT, organizational effectiveness, marketing, and business development. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Billing:
• Manage and optimize the firm’s accounts receivable processes in collaboration with the paralegal team.
• Execute follow up on past due client invoices and ensure the Managing Partners are aware of delinquent accounts.
• Manage the calculation and pay out of the team lead bonus program for attorneys.
• Collaborate with Managing Partners and the firm accountant on budgeting and forecasting.

Staffing & Human Resources:
• Oversee the firm’s staffing and resource allocation charts to meet client demands and business objectives.
• Drive talent acquisition, development, and retention efforts with the firm’s HR consultant.
• Foster a positive and inclusive remote work culture through ongoing programming that supports high performance and employee engagement.

Technology & IT Management:
• Partner with the IT consultant to ensure the firm’s technology infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable.
• Collaborate with the IT consultant to execute the technology onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
• Lead initiatives to implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and client service.

Organizational Effectiveness:
• Lead change management initiatives and process improvements that enhance collaboration and communication in a remote-first work environment.
• Collaborate with the Managing Partners to ensure the firm is well-positioned to respond to industry trends and market conditions.
• Manage special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Managing Partners.

Marketing & Business Development:
• Develop and execute the firm’s marketing strategy with the Managing Partners to enhance brand visibility and attract new clients.
• Support business development efforts, including client relationship management and strategic partnerships.
• Liaise with the firm’s website development to maintain and update the firm website.
• Drive the creation of marketing content and materials including regular LinkedIn posts for the firm.
• Identify conferences and other relevant BD activities and coordinate staff travel etc.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. • Minimum of 7 years of progressive operations experience, preferably within a legal or professional services firm. • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive organizational change. • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to drive business growth and operational excellence. • Adaptability and capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, remote work environment. • Tech-savvy with a strong interest in leveraging digital tools to enhance collaboration, effectiveness, and efficiency in a remote work environment. • Based in the NYC tri-state area with the ability to commute to NYC regularly to conduct firm business.
