Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a Behavior Aide for a full-time, school-based position in Acton, California. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with special education students and helping them succeed academically and socially. The candidate must be CPR/First Aid certified and meet all local and state requirements.

Key Responsibilities: • Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with behavioral challenges. • Provide one-on-one support to students during classroom activities, ensuring a positive and structured learning environment. • Help students develop appropriate social skills and coping strategies. • Monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to adjust strategies as needed. • Support students with special needs in navigating school routines, including transitioning between activities and classes. • Utilize de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement to manage challenging behaviors. • Provide crisis intervention if necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of the student and others. • Maintain detailed documentation of student behavior, interventions, and progress.

Preferred Qualifications: • CPR/First Aid certification is mandatory. • Experience working with special education students, especially those with behavioral needs, is highly preferred. • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and intervention plans. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. • Familiarity with local and state regulations related to special education services.
