Enrolled Agent Tax Prep and Bookkeeper
Posted 2025-04-06We are looking to hire an Enrolled Agent with solid bookkeeping skills to immediately handle existing small business clients as well as take on new clients on a monthly basis. This individual will also play a vital role in helping us grow. This will include helping to develop standard operating procedures and workflows across specific industries and customer bases.

 Experience working as am EA and bookkeeper for multiple companies simultaneously
 Experience working in a remote office environment (Preferred)
The job responsibilities are broken into 2 sections, bookkeeping and EA. We realize candidates may not have all skills in each description
Enrolled Agent
The EA responsibilities are to file personal and business tax returns for around 50-75 small business owners. The basic duties and tasks of this position include but are not limited to:
 Complete all necessary tasks related to filing personal and business tax returns for any assigned clients.
 Review the profit and loss statements for your clients each quarter to:
 Provide updated quarterly tax estimates.
 Adjust owner payroll amounts to coincide with business growth.
 Suggest 401k or Roth IRA contributions.
 Guide LLC clients on when they should make S-Corp elections.
 Monitor and provide feedback to the bookkeeping team on their work
 Attend all onboarding calls with newly assigned clients.
 Manage client to-do items as well as keep detailed client notes in task management software.
 Respond to client questions and requests via email within one business day.
 Respond to questions and inquiries from the bookkeeping team.
 Attend Zoom calls with individual clients throughout the year to answer questions and provide tax guidance
 Help build and document processes related to the position.
Bookkeeping
The full charge bookkeeper is responsible for managing the financial bookkeeping for our clients. You will enter financial information, analyze financial activities, ensure client compliance, and create monthly reporting.
Day to Day
 Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing
 Maintaining historical records by filing documents
 Maintaining knowledge of current federal, state, and local legal requirements, ensuring adherence to them, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions
 Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules
 Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows
 Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as collections
 Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close
 Education and Experience
 BachelorÂs degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
 Previous bookkeeping or accounting related experience required
 Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
 Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
 Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting
 Can work independently with minimal supervision
 Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
 Advanced Excel skills is preferred
 Prior payroll experience preferred
 GAAP knowledge
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 Â 40 per week
