As Senior Cloud FinOps Analyst, you will play a critical role on DeltaÂs FinOps team in driving a cost-conscious culture that maximizes the business value of DeltaÂs cloud footprint. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include analysis, reporting, tooling maintenance, and education on cost optimization and cloud spend forecasting. This is a highly collaborative role, requiring frequent collaboration with finance, engineering, and other teams.
We are looking for someone with strong analytical and collaboration skills to help enable teams across the organization to maximize the business value of DeltaÂs cloud spend. While a deep technical knowledge of cloud-based architecture is not required, foundational knowledge of hyperscale cloud services is required to effectively fulfill this position. This position is in a fast-paced environment, and candidates should feel comfortable in switching focus as organizational needs change.
Duties and Responsibilities
 Conduct working sessions with finance, operations, and engineering teams to produce budgets and forecasts
 Collaborate with engineering teams to drive optimization efforts
 Provide recommendations on implementing FinOps practices and methodologies
 Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders at all levels of the organization
 Create and present educational documentation and training materials
 Produce presentations on initiatives, statuses, and other topics as needed
 This role can sit either in Minneapolis, MN or Atlanta, GA*
What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
 2+ years of hands-on experience with cloud cost management tools and techniques
 4+ years working with public cloud environments
 Proven proficiency developing data-driven insights to support decision making
 Excellent collaboration skills with technical and non-technical partners
 Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for analyzing large volumes of data
 Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
 Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
 Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
 Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
 Extensive knowledge of the AWS cloud computing platform
 Experience developing forecasts in a public cloud environment (AWS/Azure/GCP)
 Cloud automation skills
 Familiarity with Apptio Cloudability
