Key Responsibilities
 Collaborate with lead educators to cultivate an engaging and effective learning environment.
 Assist in classroom settings as a co-teacher or teaching aide, facilitating the successful implementation of lesson plans.
 Provide individualized support to students through one-on-one or small group interactions, reinforcing lesson concepts.
 Uphold academic integrity by enforcing classroom rules and routines, ensuring a conducive atmosphere for learning.
 Aid in maintaining accurate records and tracking student progress in alignment with educational objectives.
 Lead small group and individual instruction using evidence-based practices to address diverse student needs.
 Work with special education staff to implement necessary accommodations and support strategies.
 Engage with parents during meetings and maintain transparent communication with families.
 Supervise student groups and assist with daily transitions.
 Prepare the classroom for lessons and assist with logistical tasks, including material preparation.
 Support daily administrative responsibilities, including arrival/dismissal and supervision during lunch and recess.
 Exhibit flexibility by stepping in for the classroom teacher during meetings or professional development sessions.
 Assist in fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment.
 Perform additional tasks to support the overall school community as required.
Required Skills
 At least 2 years of college education.
 Experience working with children in an educational context.
 Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
 Excellent oral communication abilities.
 Capacity to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
 Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced educational environment.
Qualifications
 A BachelorÂs degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, ESL, or Special Education is preferred.
 Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole is advantageous.
