Edovate Learning Corp. (Bridgeway Academy) is seeking Part-Time Teaching Assistants for the 24-25 school year. This position is ideal for college students pursuing education degrees and individuals who desire a few hours of rewarding remote employment per week. Time commitment is 8-10 hours per week during the 30 weeks of live classes from late August to mid-May. Generous break weeks are interspersed throughout the school year.

General Role Description:
The Live Online Class Teaching Assistant delivers instructional support related to Live Online courses and promotes Live Online program growth and quality aligned to Bridgeway AcademyÂs philosophy of learning. The Live Online Teaching Assistant works collaboratively with company staff to ensure outstanding service and support for the enrolled students.
Primary Responsibilities:  Support the delivery of live online classes performing duties as assigned  Active engagement with the LOC department through regular communication.  Review interdepartmental communication announcements.  Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and LOC departmental leadership.  Attend training events with Bridgeway Academy  Engage in scheduled virtual meetings  Participate in personal and professional development  Respond to email, phone, etc. in a timely manner; preferred 24-hour response  Uphold the criteria included in the Live Online Student Handbook and Teacher Handbook
Course Preparation:
 Support the Lead TeacherÂs weekly Live Online Class lesson development and incorporate best online teaching practices
 Support the Lead TeacherÂs upload of PowerPoint with learning objectives and any corresponding materials for the live lesson before the start of class
Execution:
Online classroom management including some or all the following (at the discretion of the teacher)
 Take Attendance
 Set due dates and deadlines for assignments
 Document changes for NCAA courses
 Complete the Exit Ticket form
 Support the Lead Teacher with grading
 Provide class coverage when the Lead Teacher is absent
 Provide student support as needed
 Initiate correspondence with student
 Record Live Online sessions (check that it has been done)
 Assist with utilizing online tools to the fullest potential
 Conduct appropriate student management during Live Online class sessions
 Assist with Live Online class lesson delivery, incorporating Bridgeway Academy standards and suggested best practices in online instruction and learning.
 Supervise breakout rooms and answer questions in chat
Administration:
 Assist with student progress monitoring
 Provide frequent student feedback and support as needed
 Promote enrichment and remediation as needed
 Conduct delivery reflection
 Discuss course content and delivery with the primary teacher as needed
Customer Service
 Positive interactions between students/parents and others involved in studentÂs education for live courses
 Obtain feedback from all Live Online class participants via surveys, email, and telephone communications
 Facilitate complaint resolutions
 Ensure timely and effective communication between teaching staff and Bridgeway Academy families as well as charter partners, home school teachers, and related stakeholders under the supervision of the Director of Online Learning/Head of School
 Respond appropriately and efficiently to support tickets, parent, advisor, and/or sales team member inquiries, and instructor requests for support
