The Director of Strategic Sales - Southwest plays an ultimate role in our everyday success as a company by uncovering new business through prospecting and engaging with clients. The Director of Enterprise Solutions will also strengthen relationships by offering a variety of logistics solutions and solving problems for diverse supply chain needs. Valley Companies is looking for a hunter that can effectively convert prospects to customers and handle the entire sales cycle. Our corporate office is in Hudson, WI but this position is remote. We are looking for an employee that lives in the Southwest United States so we encourage all people in that area to apply.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 Target, Develop and Secure client relationships through selling Valley Companies core logistics services such as Managed Transportation, Project Management, Final Mile, Truckload and LTL solutions
 Partner with organization to solidify Valley Companies premier service offering in core service areas to achieve immediate and long-term growth
 Quickly launch and build successful client relationships while prospecting and identifying new opportunities for your sales pipeline
 Utilize direct and in-direct channels to generate new business opportunities while leverage Valley Companies marketing and sales tools
 Collaborate across departments and team members to secure the commercial terms of sale including negotiations rates, identifying vendor solutions, technology requirements, etc.
 Represent company at client industry, trade associations, events, and conferences to promote the Valley Value proposition
 Maintain a strong understanding of the client marketing place and the logistics industry to deliver consultative advice and solutions for our prospects and existing clients
 Prepare and delivery timeline, accurate and high confident sales pipeline, and sales forecast
 Travel required - minimum of 2 out-of-state trips per month

REQUIREMENTS:  BachelorÂs degree (preferred)  5+ years of professional experience  3+ years of experience in a high-sales environment (preferably in a 3PL environment)  Learned knowledge in Microsoft Office  Effective communication, negotiation, and networking skills  Creative problem-solving approach, strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, work in groups, and attention to detail  Phone, email, face-to-face etiquette, clerical procedures, managing files, records retention, and customer service skills to effectively accomplish duties.
