Customer Service
ÂProvides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowes customer service policies, procedures and programs
ÂGenerates install and non-install project leads for the Central Design Team by actively engaging customers in their project needs .
 Utilize inspiration and qualifying tools to ensure customers understand kitchen projects scope and process.
ÂSet project expectations with customers during store interactions
ÂAssist and sell countertops for customers in-store (Kitchens only)
ÂSeeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
ÂListens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary
ÂDemonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
ÂCommunicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to LoweÂs programs
ÂProvides prompt support to all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance
ÂCross-functionally trains in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service

ÂUses store systems to prioritize loads, print pricing labels and to search items or item numbers for price and inventory information
Clean and Safe Stores
ÂDetects common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicates them to management and/or Asset Protection
ÂEnsures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas
ÂMaintains a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates
ÂAdheres to all safety requirements relevant to oneÂs regular job duties: top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices
ÂOperates store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, iPhone, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, forklifts, pallet jacks, electric lifts, compacter baler, tool rentals)
ÂUses the point of sale terminals to process walk up, phone, email and online orders. Calls vendors to verify product availability and cost as needed
ÂHelps customers have a positive shopping experience by neatly displaying up-to-date and accurate pricing and signage
ÂUses cash register to process sales transactions according to company guidelines
ÂDelivers excellent customer service during the checkout process by ensuring the customer is satisfied and encouraged to come back to LoweÂs
ÂCoordinates and supports deliveries from beginning to end, serving as the expert for answering questions and solving problems related to deliveries
ÂInspects merchandise prior to loading and delivery, prepares merchandise and loads for delivery, supports planned delivery routes, verifies invoices against items loaded, and assists with product connections or returns
ÂKeeps staff and customers safe by walking the store to check for leaks, spills, and unsafe displays, fixes equipment and facilities, and performs preventative maintenance
ÂIn addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for other duties as assigned
What You Need To Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
Â6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
Â6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
ÂAbility to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Preferred Qualifications
Â6 months sales experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
Â6 months retail experience providing customer service, including identifying and resolving customer issues, assisting customers in locating product, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their business
ÂCertification in a trade area related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
