What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Provide customer service to patients regarding scheduling appointments, referrals, and maintaining patient demographics
• Respond to inquiries from members and providers about insurance benefits, eligibility, and coverage
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and act as a patient advocate
• Participate in outreach events including health fairs and enrollment fairs to promote services
• Assist in documenting processes and identifying improvements for enhanced service delivery

What Is Required (Qualifications)
• High school diploma and 1-3 years of office/business experience; call center experience preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in organizational skills and report analysis using tools like Excel and Access
• Knowledge of reimbursement methodologies such as DRG and Fee schedules
• Ability to meet department metrics and attendance guidelines

• Experience in claims processing within managed care environments
• Familiarity with customer service metrics and performance standards
• Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and improve service processes
