Our Staff Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff working on Web solutions ensuring that we provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between, and a proven background in JavaScript, ReactJS, Java, Microservices, Containers (Kubernetes), and designing, implementing, and maintaining front-end UIs.

Position ResponsibilitiesÂ
As a Staff Engineer, you will:Â
 Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systemsÂ
 Build product definition and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solutionÂ
 Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycleÂ
 Lead design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organizationÂ
 Define, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspectiveÂ
 Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, and Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication) to perform advanced-level Java application design under minimal direction
 Utilizes developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication) to perform advanced-level Mobile/Web/UI design, implementation, and maintenance activities under minimal directionÂ
 Mentor other engineers Â
 Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teamsÂ

Qualifications :
 Strong UI/UX and prototype design knowledge and experienceÂ
 Experience with Content Management, including implementation solution design and processing rule setÂ
 Fluency with HTML5, React, Redux, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, JSON, RESTful Web Services, NodeJS, and Event Driven ArchitecturesÂ
 Strong Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) platform knowledgeÂ
 Familiar with Project Management and work item management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRAÂ
 Exemplary ability to design, perform experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmapÂ
 Experience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to productionÂ
 Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as codeÂ
 In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithmsÂ
 Experience solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches Â
 Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environmentÂ
 Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication)Â
 Fluency and Specialization with modern languages such as Java, Python including object-oriented designÂ
 Experience with Micro-services oriented architecture and extensible REST APIsÂ
 Experience with AI/ML and data driven integration with backendÂ
 Experience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systemsÂ
 Fluency in DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps Operational FrameworkÂ
 Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessmentsÂ
 Experience in security protocols and products: Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuthÂ
Experience :
 6+ years of professional software development experience within Web frameworks/Java/ JavaScript
 4+ years of experience with architecture and designÂ
 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud serviceÂ
 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworksÂ

Education :
 BachelorÂs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience Â
Annual Salary
$110,000.00 - $236,500.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidateÂs work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
