Remote K-12 Vision Support Teacher (TVI) Work from Home

Job Description:

We are hiring a Remote Vision Support Teacher to work with K-12 students. This position offers the flexibility of working from home while providing essential education services to visually impaired students.

Responsibilities: • Conduct remote vision assessments. • Develop accessible lesson plans and materials. • Teach Braille, low vision strategies, and technology skills. • Work closely with school staff to integrate supports into the curriculum. • Report progress to parents and administrators regularly.

Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education for the Visually Impaired from an accredited institution. • Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI). • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with visual impairments, with remote teaching experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility strategies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and collaborate with school teams remotely. • Proficiency in using tele-education platforms and technology for remote service delivery.
