Staff Accountant (Remote)
Posted 2025-04-06The position handles the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting to include reviewing and analyzing financial reports. Looking for time management skills, accountability, prompt follow through and ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
 Perform month-end and year-end accounting close duties including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
 Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepaids, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
 Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
 Perform financial analysis of accounting data to identify and explain significant fluctuations
 Prepare and analyze monthly reports for both internal and external use
 Respond to information requests from management
 Prepare and respond to requests related to quarterly reviews and the annual audit
 Work with team to implement process improvements with a focus on automation, scalability, and efficiency
 Support efforts related to new ERP implementation
 Assist with special projects and perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications
 BachelorÂs Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or pursuit of CPA would be a plus
 Minimum 2 years of experience in private or public accounting
 Strong knowledge of accounting procedures, internal controls, and accounting standards
 US GAAP knowledge is required
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven fluency in English
 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
 Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
 Prior experience with Oracle desired, but not required
 Ability to handle and keep confidential information with utmost care
 Ability to multi-task in a fast past environment and act with a sense of urgency
 Ability to work with competing priorities under tight guidelines
 Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams
 Ability to effectively communicate information to employees and management
