POSITION SUMMARY
The Orange Lutheran Academic Coordinator of Online Students performs duties related to the admission, enrollment, and coordinating schedules and classes of Orange Lutheran students in online courses to facilitate student success and excellent communication between students, parents, and online instructors. The Academic Coordinator may be assigned to students taking online-only classes, a blended schedule of online and on-campus classes, and/or partner school students. NOTE: This is an on-campus position at Orange Lutheran High School, Orange, California.
Reports to: Sr. Director of Research and New Program Development
Supervises: No supervisory duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
 Facilitate enrollment and scheduling in Orange Lutheran Online classes
 Assist with new student orientation as needed
 Communicate with students and families via phone and email
 Answer phone calls and respond to emails
 Enter appropriate information in the school's academic record-keeping software
 Serve as academic coordinator for students online courses, tracking student progress, addressing academic issues, and coaching struggling students
 Serve as the primary point of contact for online courses, meet with parents and students, communicate with online and on-campus faculty and counselors
 Assists online instructors, with respect to campus and online policies and specific student issues when necessary
 Coordinate with Admissions, Athletics, and other on-campus departments as appropriate
 Process all online-related documents
 Create and maintain accurate and timely records and files
 Coordinate and oversee on-campus testing procedures for online students
 Perform graduation checks, processes matriculation records and correspondence
 Attend student-related meetings with counselors, administrators, and families
 Attend department and faculty meetings and required school functions
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
 May perform marketing-related activities, including assisting with events
 Additional duties as assigned

Education
BA or BS degree, completed or in progress
Experience
 One to two years experience in an academic or related setting and/or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties described above.
 Non-academic experience will be considered for individuals who can demonstrate they have acquired the ability to perform the required duties through other experience.
 Online or technology-related experience is not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
 This position primarily involves sedentary work. Sitting performed most of the time
 The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
 The employee must frequently speak clearly and hear within the normal range with or without assistance
 The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
 Specific vision abilities include near and far vision, the ability to adjust focus, and view of a computer screen for extended periods
