Job Summary:
Sushi Lucy seeks a Server that is responsible for providing excellent customer service and promoting an exceptional dining experience for customers. Sushi Lucy is looking for motivated, dedicated and professional servers to be a part of our team! The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 2 years of experience as a server in the sushi restaurant/hospitality industry.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
 Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
 Ability to use any credit card processing machines, cash register, and touch screen monitors.
 Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
 Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, according to local state laws.
 Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a high end fast-paced environment.
 Knowledge of Sushi, Japanese Beers/Wine, and Sake.
 Food handling certificate (Preferred)
 Excellent communication and customer service skills
 Responsible, trustworthy, attention to detail, cleanliness and safety.
 Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 6 hours on your feet.
 Bilingual is a plus
Duties:
 Greeting customers upon arrival at the restaurant.
 Providing excellent customer service during their dining experience.
 Memorizing the food menu and Beer / Wine and Sake list as well as any nightly specials.
 Providing suggestions for food or drink choices to diners.
 Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs and setting tables throughout the shift.
 Carrying drinks and food from the kitchen or bar area to the tables.
 Provides information to help with food and beverage selections.
 Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.
 Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude and a focus on cleanliness.
 Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
 Transmits orders to the kitchen by recording patrons choices and identifying patrons special dietary needs and special requests.
 Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to Front of the House Supervisor/host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.
 Practices ÂUpselling at all times.
 Respond to customer complaints quickly to resolve them effectively.
 Always attend to customers with a smile.
