POSITION SUMMARY

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring product quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement in quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance process performance, including the design and implementation of new equipment, tools, or methodologies.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct experiments, data analysis, and statistical evaluations to optimize process parameters and ensure product quality meets or exceeds specifications.
• Participate in the development of process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support for production activities, including equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in process engineering to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new product development and scale-up activities by providing technical expertise and conducting feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment for potential integration into manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Work involves lifting materials and product up to 25 pounds.
• Work involves standing, walking, and lifting during work day
• Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable or hazardous.
• Noise level is normal for a manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required
• 6 months-2 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of process optimization techniques, Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis.
• Basic understanding of quality management systems, i.e., ISO standards.
• Proactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as contribute effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as project demands require.
• Experience with CAD software
• Experience with 3D printing a plus
