Senior Allegro PCB Layout Designer (Remote)

Freedom CAD is a premier PCB design service bureau with a talented team of 30+ dedicated designers providing complex layouts for our enviable list of high-tech customers. Tired of the commute? This is a work-from-home, full-time position with an opportunity for additional compensation for overtime work at time and a half.
This position is for creating PCB layouts from electrical schematics, net-lists, mechanical input, and associated detail documents using Allegro design software.
Responsibilities
· Support and lead PCB Designs. Reports to the Director of Operations or Program Manager
· Supports complex layouts while ensuring quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
· Has a good understanding of HDI technology and design practices.
· Handle multiple tasks and provide support of the assigned task
· Ability to rout single-ended, and differential-pairs, from engineering inputs, and board mechanical profiles, using the Cadence Allegro design toolset.
· Load Net lists. (Allegro)
· Generate layout reports daily/weekly for customers and Operations.
· Primarily work from home but must be willing to work occasionally on-site at a customer location.
· Must be willing to work extended and flexible hours to meet critical schedules when necessary.
· Basic Schematics knowledge.
Skills
· Strong knowledge of the Allegro tool suite is essential and secondary knowledge Altium or Mentor tools suites is a plus.
· Good understanding of HDI technology.
· Experience with high-speed digital, Analog, in rigid PCB. Experience with Flex and Rigid-Flex designs is a plus
· Basic computer literacy with Windows-based applications such as Microsoft EXCEL, Microsoft Word, Notepad.
· Experience and willingness to use SKILL script automation such as dalTools.
· Ability to proactively identify problems, and provide solutions or recommendations in a dynamic work environment.
· Ability to interpret and follow design constraints encompassing differential pairs, impedance control, high speed, EMI, and ESD.
· Passionate about PCB design with a strong desire to expand your knowledge
· Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent team player that can multi-task.
· Ability to drive to meet committed schedules.
· Ability to adapt to changing customer requirements.
· Work with customer and FCS engineering to ensure compliance with Manufacturing Design Standards.

· Ability to work from home with minimal supervision.
Experience
· Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years layout experience.
· Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of Allegro current experience.
Other design tool knowledge is considered a plus.
· Familiar with Industry Design Standards  ANSI, IPC, ITAR.
