We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional client experience, positioning ourselves as strategic advisorsÂnot just accountants. This role will lead client relationships in our Client Accounting Services (CAS) Department, providing accounting expertise, advisory, and cash flow consulting.
Ideal candidates have experience working with small businesses and expertise in Cloud Accounting, CAS, or Tax Prep/Planning.
Job Details
Hours: 25Â30 per week
Location: Fully Remote
Pay: $32Â$45/hour (based on credentials and experience)

Candidate Details
 CPA or EA preferred
 BachelorÂs in Accounting or Finance
 3+ years in a client-facing role
 Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero
 Strong Google Sheets skills
 Outgoing, empathetic, and skilled at explaining complex concepts
 Financial modeling or budgeting experience
Key Responsibilities
 Serve as the primary advisor and trusted point of contact for a dynamic portfolio of small business clients, supported by robust systems and a collaborative team
 Perform month-end reviews in Xero or QuickBooks Online
 Lead client meetings (quarterly/monthly) to review financials and goals
 Respond to client inquiries via email or chat
 Onboard new clients and set up custom accounting infrastructures
 Coordinate cleanup/catch-up work with the bookkeeping team
 Analyze data to identify key performance indicators for clients
 Support payroll setup and manage payroll tax considerations
 Create budgets, projections, and basic tax calculations
 Explain small business tax concepts to improve client outcomes
 Improve processes and document SOPs
 Represent Gradient Accounting at networking events and conferences
 Pursue ongoing training on CFO-level services
