Role Description: Are you thinking about moving from your current position as a Court Reporter to a Digital Reporter? In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing civil litigation proceedings and recording all content, including witness testimonies, using digital tools. The Digital Reporter is responsible for: Â Overseeing proceedings as an independent custodian of the record. Â Administering oaths to witnesses and fulfilling State Notary duties. Â Recording proceedings with high-fidelity audio technology for clear and comprehensive documentation. Â Annotating case events and terminology accurately for precise transcription. Â Performing thorough research and validating data across multiple sources. Â Proficiently utilizing digital databases and online research tools. Qualifications: Â State Notary Commission or eligibility to obtain it. Â Must possess or be able to obtain certification or state licensure (where required). Â Willing to learn or already knowledgeable about U.S. civil proceedings. Â Ownership of or willingness to acquire digital reporting equipment. Â Confidence to moderate live legal proceedings. Â Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing. Â Proficient with technology, including strong keyboard skills. Â Professional conduct, dependability, punctuality, and appearance. Â Openness to working as an independent contractor. Â Note: No shorthand nor stenography is required. Â Willing to work both remotely and in person.
