Job Purpose - Summary
Responsible for pre-sales application support of Belden products and projects. Provides consultative sales support, technical sales instruction, customer training, and Belden solution design assistance to our sales organization. As part of BeldenÂs Technical Solutions Center team, lead and execute the technical strategy and initiatives defined with the vertical sales teams. The solution consultant is a technical partner of sales and supports organic growth by converting customers ideas and visions into customized One Belden solutions enabling guaranteed business outcomes. Work as a facilitator to foster collaboration, teamwork, and communication pivot point among the internal and external participants of a project opportunity. A solution consultant, as a subject matter expert, shall accelerate the credibility of Belden as a solution provider for Networking & Data Solutions applications.
Job Accountabilities
 Lead and manage the development of solutions that utilize capability of all Belden brands
 Support and drive technical sales and solutions for customer applications by providing the technical leadership influence in assigned vertical market
 Drive Belden bookings growth and success rate through developing and delivering outcome-based Solutions to customers managed by Solutions Sales colleagues
 Working with GTS counterparts to translate customer requirements and problem statements into compelling technical solutions with demonstrable financial value impact
 Collaborate with Customer Innovation Center Solution Support team in development/execution of POCs (Proof of Concepts)
 Define scope of services for customer applications in collaboration with the GTS
 Support transition from pre-sales to post-sales
 Maintain competence with ALL Belden products
 Design and support technology campaigns such as webinars, shows, trade fairs, etc.
 Create technical content for marketing materials and collaterals: solutions guides,
 application notes, Âhow to videos, quick start guides, document cases studies
 Provide market feedback to product management teams to drive product development
 Conduct basic and advanced customer technical demonstrations and presentations of Belden solutions
 Travel as required for customer visits and professional development (expected 50% of travel)
Education & Experience
 5+ years of experience in solution creation in a networking environment
 BachelorÂs degree preferred in engineering with a focus on Networking and Ethernet based communications
 Proven track record within a sales and service role in Healthcare Market
 Experience working with cross functional teams, including Sales, Marketing and Product Development
 Experience and technical know-how in network communication
 Having previous consulting experience is preferred
Abilities
 Demonstrate the ability to translate complex, technical information into comprehensible conversation with a non-technical audience
 Demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of key technology and market trends, and competitors solutions.
 Demonstrate analytical skills and the ability to work within a metric driven environment
 Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced work environment
 Demonstrate a pro-active, flexible, and pragmatic approach
Other Essential Qualifications
 Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to perform the duties of the role (50% + frequency of travel)
 English fluency to business standard essential
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $120,000 to $160,000, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicantÂs experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
