WeÂre an IT Managed Services company looking for a part-time team member with your experience to help us grow in the manufacturing sector.
This role is a mix of consulting, liaising, market research, and sharing industry insightsÂbut donÂt worry, itÂs not a sales position. Think of it as a way to stay engaged with the industry without giving up time on the golf course!
Role Overview
 Functional Accountabilities:
 Provide guidance to our sales and marketing teams on manufacturing industry IT needs.
 Support our efforts to connect with and gain traction in the manufacturing sector.
 Attend industry events to network and raise awareness about our brand.
 Key Competencies:
 Solid knowledge of the manufacturing industry, with an interest in technology.
 Strong people skillsÂyou should be comfortable striking up conversations and building relationships.
 Self-motivatedÂyouÂll be operating independently, so a go-getter attitude is essential.
 Metrics for Success:
 Conduct at least 30 outreach calls/emails to industry contacts each month.
 Set up a minimum of 4 meetings with manufacturers each month for informal Âlisten and learn sessions.
 Attend at least 2 industry networking events each month.
Who WeÂre Looking For
YouÂre someone with a recent background in the manufacturing industry, ideally at a managerial level or higher. If you meet the roleÂs criteria and understand our Scorecard, weÂd love to hear from you regardless of your exact title.
Our target market is manufacturing companies with 25-250 employees, so familiarity with operations at these types of plants is helpful.
This is a 1099 role with a flexible 15-20 hour weekly schedule. YouÂll need to sign an NDA, and weÂre outcome-focused, valuing results over hours logged.
WeÂre offering a monthly flat-rate fee in the range of $2000-$2500, depending on your experience. Position expected to start in February 2025, but there is some flexibility here as well.
WeÂre looking for someone based in the Midwest, ideally Illinois, within easy reach of a metropolitan area where manufacturing thrives.
