School Description
JadeClass Education Singapore is an English-language training center that provides enrichment education to bright students who plan on attending university abroad. Our students vary in age from 5-13 and are carefully screened for English level, behavior, and motivation. We select motivated students and help them achieve success not just in testing but also in adapting to a Western-style learning environment.
Job Responsibilities
Review new lesson materials in a recorded classroom
Teach a range of ELA content
Help students succeed through constructive grading of their work and feedback of their in-class performance
At JES, we think you should get paid for the time and energy you devote to your classes, so course review and grading time are built into your compensation. Our provided materials take away some of the time spent planning individual lessons, leaving you free to focus on the curriculum objectives and your teaching.
Schedule
During the spring and fall semesters, our lessons take place around the schedules of our students. Therefore, we arrange online classes during the following times:
 Fri, Sat, Sun: 17:00-21:00 (UTC+8)
In the summer and winter semesters, the lessons can take place throughout the week in both the mornings and evenings, but the primary days and times are:
 Mon-Sat: 17:00-21:00 (UTC+8)
Lessons can be assigned during any of the listed times, but we try to work within the teacherÂs and students availabilities to set a time that works for everyone. Lessons scheduled back-to-back have a 15-minute break between them.
Course Description
Our CCSS Reading courses place a teacher with 4-8 students for focused instruction over 12 lessons. Each week during the spring and fall semesters, the class meets online once, through the program ClassIn, for an hour-long lesson, consisting of focused instruction on 1-2 Common Core skills, reading comprehension, discussion of the text, and vocabulary building. In the winter and summer semesters, classes meet twice a week. For each course, there are comprehensive unit plans and lesson plans following Common Core State Standards for ELA.
