Job Description:

The High School English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English language arts instruction to students in grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will inspire students to appreciate literature, develop strong writing skills, and enhance their communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum aligned with state standards. • Create engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to diverse learning needs. • Assess student performance through a variety of assignments, projects, and exams. • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation. • Guide students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills through literature and writing. • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and student achievement. • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). • Valid Georgia teaching certification in Secondary Education (English). • Strong knowledge of literature, writing, and language arts curriculum. • Prior teaching experience at the high school level is preferred. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment. • Proficiency in technology and educational tools. • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
